Dr. S.Gananadhamu,M.Pharm; Ph.D
Assistant Professor,
Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis,

I studied B.Pharm at K.V.S.R. Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vijayawada affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. Later I did M.Pharm from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. After completion of M.Pharm, I joined in Torrent Research Centre (Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited), Village-Bhat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India as scientist-II in Analytical Development Laboratory and worked there for two and half years. In 2010 I obtained Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Analysis from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. I have been working as assistant professor since August 2009 in NIPER Hyderabad in the department of pharmaceutical analysis. I have rich experience in development of new analytical methods by using various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. I do qualification, calibration and trouble shooting of major analytical equipments such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, FT-IR and UV/Visible spectrophotometer.

  • Associate award from Institute of Chemists, Kolkata
  • Life time member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)

My main area of research is in the field of pharmaceutical analysis and quality assurance. Over the past 4 years I have been working on impurity profiling, drug stability testing, preformulation studies and bioanalytical method development. Recently I concentrated my research on pharmacokinetic and metabolite profiling, biopharmaceutical analysis, new sample preparation techniques and development of new analytical methods by QbD approach. My other research areas of interest include herbal drug testing, chemometrics assisted analytical methods and green analytical chemistry.
