BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Chella Naveen completed his B.Pharm and M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) from Osmania University and Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University. He has total 8 years of teaching experience both at under graduate and post graduate level. He is working as faculty in the department of Pharmaceutics, National Institute of Pharmaceutical education and Research (NIPER)-Hyderabad since December, 2010. His areas of interest include lipid based drug delivery approaches, bioavailability improvement of BCS class II drugs using novel drug delivery approaches, Nano emulsions. He has total 13 national and international publications to his credit. He won best presentation awards for oral and poster presentations at various national level competitions. About, 11 M.S. students completed projects and currently he is guiding 4 M.S. students for dissertation..

  • Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from Sri Venkateshwara College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad (OU), India.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy from Nalanda College of Pharmacy, Nalgonda (OU), India.
  • Qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE – 2003 & 2004) examination with 91.14 Percentile
  • Awarded Fellowship by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) during M. Pharmacy.
  • Best poster awards at various national level conferences.
  • Selected under UGC, RFSMS scheme at Punjab University


RESEARCH SUMMARY

(a) Formulation considerations for the effective application of lipid excipients in enhancing the oral and topical delivery of medication; (b) Establishing relationship(s) between the lipid excipient properties and release of the drugs; (c) Use of lipid excipients in preparation of Self-Micro or Nano Emulsifying Systems (SMEDDS, SNEDDS) for improving the oral solubility, bioavailability and permeability through topical route; (d) Developing different delivery technologies for natural bio active molecules
